Hi, I’m Taylor—the founder of Sole Travel Studio. I’m originally from Chicago and have spent much of my adult life abroad, from Australia and England to nearly five years of calling Florence home. Before becoming a travel advisor, I spent almost seven years in corporate communications, where managing complex projects and obsessing over the details was quite literally my job.
Today, I pair that experience with firsthand travel across 29 countries and relationships with trusted hotels, suppliers, and local partners to thoughtfully plan trips around the world. I believe the best trips balance the places you've been dreaming about with the experiences you never would have known to look for—and leave enough room to actually enjoy being there.

Why should I use a travel advisor instead of booking everything myself?
Great trip planning is about more than making reservations. I spend the time researching, narrowing down options, vetting recommendations, and thinking through the details so you can feel confident in your choices and spend way less time with 37 browser tabs open wondering what is actually worth it.
Do you only plan travel to Italy?
No! While I live in Florence and have extensive firsthand experience throughout Italy and Europe, I can plan travel around the world through my network of trusted partners and suppliers.
Do you charge a planning fee?
For custom trip planning, yes. Planning fees vary based on the length, complexity, and level of support your trip requires. We’ll discuss exactly what you need, what’s included, and the associated fee before you commit to anything.
Does it cost more to book through you?
Not necessarily! Hotel rates are often the same as booking directly, but through my preferred partnerships, I may be able to add perks like complimentary breakfast, hotel credits, upgrades when available, and other VIP amenities, all at no additional cost to you. Custom itinerary planning may require a separate planning fee.
How does the planning process work?
We’ll start with a complimentary consultation so I can get to know you, your travel style, and what you have in mind. From there, I’ll recommend the right level of planning support, confirm the scope and fee, and get to work once you’re ready to move forward.
How far in advance should I reach out?
The earlier, the better, especially for popular destinations, special properties, and peak travel periods. But if you have something last-minute in mind, reach out! I’m always happy to see what we can make happen.
